The Western Australian Laser Association was incorporated on the 6th February 1980, although it was in existence from 1974 having been adopted as a class at the Mounts Bay Sailing Club.
Under the Associations Incorporation Act of 2015, additional obligations arose and form part of a set of model rules which have been adopted by the Laser Association.
